“Xiaoqi, Cameron and I cannot thank you enough for making our wedding day so special and capturing it all beautifully. Many of our guests commented on how kind, talented and helpful you were. You made everyone posing feel comfortable in front of the lens, which can be a tough task for a photographer I’d imagine! We will definitely recommend you to others as more of our friends and family get married.” -Lizzy + Cameron
Lizzy and Cameron’s spring black tie Washington Golf and Country Club wedding was an emotional day for many celebrating these high school sweethearts. This venue was sentimental to the couple since they have photos throughout their relationship at Washington Golf and Country Club in Arlington, VA. During their sunset portraits, we even recreated one of their homecoming photos they had taken years ago. I love how special the venue was to them and their families! It was the perfect location to celebrate the next chapter of their lives together.
Lizzy and Cameron stayed true to tradition and saw each other for the first time at their ceremony. The Washington Golf and Country Club terrace ceremony location was great for enjoying the spring weather without being out under the sun. Elizabeth from Etc. Coordinators was integral to making their day as beautiful and seamless as it was. I always highly suggest her services to any of my couples looking for a Northern Virginia wedding coordinator!
After their ceremony, the guests enjoyed cocktail hour out on the terrace while the couple finished up portraits with their family and wedding party around the golf course. Their reception was held in the ballroom. Both the couple and I were so impressed how well coordinated the venue and their catering staff were. They were definitely in great hands with Martina Kavanova, the country club’s event coordinator. In planning their spring black tie event, the couple prioritized a fun experience for guests. It was also important to enjoy being in the moment, and having an amazing vendor team helped them do just that.
Another fun experience the couple created was having the DJ blast music ahead of their reception entrance. It definitely brought the energy high to get the party started. I loved how much fun Lizzy & Cameron and all the guests had kicking off the reception. After a beautiful ballroom reception, we went the couple off with a bubble exit.
