“If you want a humble, professional, creative, and super talented photographer, look no further.” – Lydia + Andrew
Looking for a way to get even more time to celebrate with your friends and family? Consider a brunch wedding! Lydia and Andrew’s 11am rooftop ceremony at the Quirk Hotel Richmond meant they had all evening to party after their wedding.
I love that the entire wedding day from getting ready to ceremony and reception can be held all in one location. This means everyone can party into the night without the hassle of heading somewhere else, since there are plenty of rooms for all your guests. Guests will also love the location of Quirk in the city. It’s surrounded by historic attractions and sights, in the middle of Richmond’s art and design district. Turn your wedding into a weekend long celebration inviting guests to stay at the hotel and explore the city.
These two met 5 years ago, and worked for the same company but never spoke to each other. Then there was a reorganization and they started sitting behind each other. They really hit it off at a happy hour and have been sharing lots of joy and laughter together ever since. When asked about their relationship, they both said throughout their relationship the ups and downs have only made them stronger.
What drew Lydia to the Quirk Hotel was not only the scenic rooftop but also the beautiful courtyard tucked in the heart of the hotel. Lydia dreamed of secret garden vibes, pulling together a beautiful blend of modern chic and elegant greenery. The guest list was kept small and intimate. They really focused on the importance of family and friends coming together, so all their closest people were present on their big day.
Lydia and Andrew decided to forgo a first look. They opted for a more traditional moment seeing one another for the first time during the ceremony. Throughout the ceremony, Lydia and Andrew were bursting with joy and laughter celebrating their next steps together. Emotions ran high throughout the day as Lydia and Andrew said, “I do.” Between the couples’ reactions and the reactions of their parents, there wasn’t a dry eye found at the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the party moved from the rooftop ceremony to the reception. The chic secret garden reception was adorned with delicate touches of greenery and classic white linens. Lydia decided to skip a wedding cake and celebrate with donuts instead! I’m a huge dessert fan and was thrilled by the fun addition to their Quirk Hotel brunch wedding. After the speeches, they enjoyed an afternoon filled with dancing and so much love. See more below!
