Patricia and Wayne’s Historic Mankin Mansion wedding was nothing short of incredible, filled with love and support from family and friends. The couple met in May 2015, and Patricia says, “it wasn’t exactly love at first sight”. However, through 4 years of being in a long distance relationship and lots of traveling to see one another, the couple decided on forever together.
Patricia details their proposal as, “simple, thoughtful and passionate”. Wayne proposed in their kitchen totally catching Patricia off guard and leaving her in tears. The couple promised to love one another forever, and the rest is history!
New Year’s Eve is a special time for the couple, and they decided to have a short engagement and plan a quick, but incredibly beautiful wedding. Surrounded by family and friends, their Mankin Mansion wedding was filled with love and quite a few tears.Wayne’s sister was the officiant at their wedding. It made the event that much more meaningful and special to the family-oriented couple. The couple live together near Blacksburg, but have family in Richmond and landed on the Mankin Mansion to celebrate their love.
Throughout the event there were many incredibly intimate and special moments for the couple, between a teary-eyed first look, and special moments with the couple’s parents, it was a day I won’t soon forget. The love these two share was so strong and evident throughout their day, Patricia says, “Our story is just beginning but the magic we have created will last a lifetime!”
