I saw Kaylyn’s story and just had to reach out about capturing it. The day before her wedding, Kaylyn’s grandfather unfortunately fell and broke a rib. He was unable to make it to her wedding or her brother’s wedding a few weeks later. Knowing how devastated he was to have missed two of his grandkids’ weddings, Kaylyn planned to get everyone together to surprise her grandparents.

This wedding was honestly such an enjoyable change of pace because we set aside so much time to create portraits. We actually scheduled three 45 minute portrait sessions throughout the day. This gave us plenty of time to explore the beautiful locations we had access to and get more creative shots like the ‘first dance’ shot below. I had so much fun capturing Lina and Al’s vision for their wedding day and wish them both all the best!

I was honored to join Geanna and Daniel just this past Friday for their courthouse wedding! Justice Park and the Albemarle County Circuit Court provided a beautiful local backdrop for their quick ceremony by Captain Marshall of the Charlottesville Sheriff’s Office.
