Natalie and Chris’ summer Virginia House wedding was a heartwarming experience celebrating fellow University of Virginia alums uniting as one. I also went to the same high school as Natalie, and I always find it even more special photographing not only a fellow Hoo but also a fellow Maggie Walker alum!
The couple met in 2015 in Russian at a discussion section, where Natalie took the plunge and asked him to a date function. The two grew closer ever since, and it was no surprise when Chris proposed in 2021 on vacation at a family beach house. The couple now live together in Philadelphia, while Chris attends school at Penn University in pursuit of his PhD. Their summer Virginia House wedding was a great time to take a break, and enjoy being together.
Natalie & Chris started their wedding day getting ready at the Quirk Hotel Richmond. The couple opted for keeping their day traditional, spending the morning apart and not seeing each other until the ceremony. Both were emotional finally seeing each at the aisle, and you can see Chris wiping away tears as Natalie walks up to him. Following the ceremony, everyone was ready to party at the gorgeous Virginia House reception venue!
The couple had an all-star vendor team supporting them. I wanted to give a shoutout especially to their planners, Kalisha & Yasmine of Emerald Events by Nilsa. The team did an incredible job transforming the Virginia House and giving our couple a stress-free wedding experience – just what any couple deserves after months of planning! I highly recommend them more for any couple looking for a talented Richmond wedding planner.
