Caroline and Josh chose two locations for their sunrise DC engagement session. The first was a classic for any DC couple, the iconic Lincoln Memorial. Their second location was more sentimental and tucked away. We met up at their DC home to walk over to Fort Slocum Park, where they regularly visit during their neighborhood walks with their dog, Champion.
The couple met in 2014 through mutual friends. The stars weren’t quite aligned in their lives at the time. But four years later, they became more than friends and started dating. Over the course of their relationship, two of those years were spent long distance. Coming out of the other side of that is only a testament to how strong Caroline and Josh’s relationship is, leading them to their engagement last April.
Caroline and Josh are both very much ambitious go-getters who are ready for whatever life throws at them. When I first met with them to discuss their wedding, I could feel their excitement! They are just so thrilled to be taking the next step in life together and what the future holds. Between starting a family together and supporting one another in their chosen careers, this couple are some of the most hardworking and determined people I’ve ever met!
Having been friends first, they easily bonded over their shared hobbies, passion for their careers, and close knit ties to their families. Their wedding will be at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort in Cambridge, MD. Their venue is a nod to their shared memories growing up on the Eastern Shore. Josh’s family lives in the DC area, while Caroline’s are in Philly, so heading over to the Bay will be a wonderful getaway for both families. Their elegant and nautical themed Catholic event celebrating their union is going to be such a beautiful occasion. I can’t wait to celebrate with them and their family and friends!
