This Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding was a beautiful celebration of our couple Tiffany and Kevin, their faith, and their loved ones. We began with a quiet morning at the Conrad New York Downtown. Through the windows, we enjoyed views of the city skyline, a perfect nod for the area these two New Yorkers call home. Tiffany changed into a beautiful classic gown with floral accents, complemented by soft, romantic waves and natural makeup.
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Tiffany and Kevin exchanged vows at the historic Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph. Kevin had the biggest smile finally seeing his bride for the time that day coming down the aisle. The grandeur of the cathedral, with its breathtaking stained glass and soaring ceilings, provided a majestic setting for their sacred union. The love of flowers also stood out – I was so impressed by the florals arranged by Tiffany’s mom. She put together all the bouquets, bouts, and florals at the church. The love of flowers definitely runs in the family.
As they sealed their vows with a kiss, the newlyweds were met with joyous applause before we all made our way to the next location – the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. We arrived just in time to catch the last of golden hour. The fall colors and soft light gave us perfect opportunities for beautiful, romantic portraits of our couple.
After sunset, we could really enjoy the stunning transformation by the team at Floraland Weddings. The Palm House became a vibrant and romantic spring garden, despite it being the middle of November. Seeing the glass reception hall in candlelight was nothing short of enchanting. One of my favorite moments during the reception was the couple’s first dance. The couple’s routine didn’t quite go to plan – Tiffany accidentally stepped onto her cape, pulling it off completely. But this only made it all the more memorable. We continued the evening with a savory dinner and desserts, heartfelt toasts, and a lively dance floor.
Being part of their day was an absolute honor, and I can’t wait to photograph more couples in this dreamy New York wedding venue.
