This Fall DC engagement session took us to two iconic DC locations – Georgetown and the Lincoln Memorial. As locals, Katherine and Cameron wanted to celebrate their engagement session with DC vibes, and these people and pup-friendly locations were perfect!
Katherine and Cameron are the ultimate example of a couple that was just destined to be together. They met in 2016 at the White House. They had both just come in from their own individual runs wearing spandex, and briefly chatted but Katherine had to go. A couple of months later, they ran into each other again, they said their ‘hellos’ and began to part ways. But, Katherine went for it, she turned around and started talking to Cameron again. Third time’s the charm, and they have been together ever since. Talk about an amazing meet-cute!
Between Katherine serving in active duty military at the time, and Cameron in the reserves, maintaining their relationship wasn’t easy. Their relationship survived a 2 year long deployment and long distance for another year. But, they’ve grown together and become stronger than ever.
The couple decided to take a trip to Arizona around the New Year, and went on a hike in Sedona, where Cameron popped the question! When asked what qualities they love about each other, Katherine said that Cameron has always been there for her, compliments her and builds her up. She also mentioned how they push each other, they have similar careers, and can understand each other’s past well. Not only that, but he’s hilarious, weird, and loves to dance. All things that continuously leave a smile on her face, and make her laugh until her cheeks hurt! Which was evident throughout their fall DC engagement session.
Of course I had to ask Cameron what he loves about Katherine, he mentions her strength to endure being about during deployments, how brilliant and beautiful she is, that she loves his weirdness, and lastly, her resilience. The love and admiration these two share for one another is truly awe-inspiring and so beautiful to witness.
No matter what life throws their way, I know this couple will be able to withstand the storms and come out stronger together. I can’t wait for their upcoming wedding to celebrate their love with family and friends alike!
