“We were initially drawn to her because her photography is just beautiful, but we absolutely loved working with her in every aspect…We’ve loved every photo of us she’s taken and are so grateful to have our memories captured in such a beautiful way!” -Jenn + John
This intimate fall Wool Factory Wedding was such a fun and light-hearted event! Jenn & John kept their gathering small, choosing to bring together just 60 people to celebrate their union. The fall Wool Factory wedding was a joyous event showcasing the fun-loving relationship between this sweet, goofy couple.
Jenn and John worked together to create a minimalistic type vibe for their wedding day, focusing on spending time with family and commemorating their love story. For decor, they went with bright florals, greenery, and wood elements.
The couple opted to keep things simple and skipped traditions that just didn’t vibe with them, like having a wedding party. They actually got ready together in the morning in the Wool Factory Loft, along with Jenn’s Mom. To avoid seeing each other, John finished getting in the bathroom while Jenn got into her dress in the loft. But due to a miscommunication, John accidentally opened the door early and saw Jenn, leading to comical reactions from each side. John hammed it up with their real first look, but that quickly gave way to a real emotional moment as they soaked in those moments together.
At the couple’s intimate fall Wool Factory wedding ceremony, Stan Hamrick was on the guitar playing, “You’ve Got A Friend in Me ” as they walked down the aisle. Keeping to their laidback and intimate setting, having a single acoustic guitar was the perfect touch! Rosie of Verde Natural florals did such a gorgeous job with the floral arbor, a fun organic contrast to the modern industrial feel of Wool Factory’s steel and brick. After Jenn and John were pronounced husband and wife, they joined guests at cocktail hour where they played corn hole and simply soaked in everyone’s company.
After their cocktail hour, we whisked Jenn and John away for some sunset portraits. Being introverts, even with the small wedding, they enjoyed the time to step away from the wedding for a little while and enjoy just each other’s company. The rest of the evening remained very laid back. While their family and friends kept the dance floor going, the couple spent their time playing corn hole and continuing to catch up with their family and friends. From start to finish, I love the way that Jenn & John made their wedding day very much their own!

Kind words from the couple:
“Xiaoqi is the greatest ever! We were initially drawn to her because her photography is just beautiful, but we absolutely loved working with her in every aspect. She is so helpful and supportive throughout the entire process and we felt completely at ease with her. We’re both quite introverted so this was really important to us. She really got to know us as a couple which helped us talk through with her what photos we wanted (and didn’t want). We’ve loved every photo of us she’s taken and are so grateful to have our memories captured in such a beautiful way!”
